Elite
Designed for demanding infrastructure environments, the D400 Composite Manhole Cover combines fiberglass reinforced SMC material with a compression-molded structural design. It is developed for access chambers located in roads, traffic lanes, parking facilities, and other areas subject to frequent vehicle loading.
Instead of using traditional metal as the primary material, this composite access cover uses SMC technology to achieve the required structural performance while reducing product weight and improving resistance to corrosion.
For infrastructure suppliers looking for alternatives to conventional cast iron, D400 composite covers can provide a practical solution for projects where weight, corrosion, maintenance, and theft concerns need to be considered together.

The D400 model can be considered for:
Urban roads
Municipal infrastructure
Highway-related utility access
Industrial roads
Commercial parking facilities
Drainage chambers
Sewer systems
Telecom and electrical utility networks
The final design should be selected according to the actual installation environment, chamber construction, traffic conditions, and applicable local standard.
SMC, or Sheet Molding Compound, combines resin, reinforcing glass fiber, mineral fillers, and other formulation components into a molded composite material. During compression molding, the material is formed under controlled temperature and pressure to produce the required cover geometry and mechanical properties.
This production method allows the cover surface, ribs, markings, and structural details to be integrated into the molded product rather than relying on multiple assembly operations.
For infrastructure projects, Elite can review customer drawings and specifications before production. Options may include custom dimensions, cover markings, logos, locking devices, sealing rings, surface patterns, and frame configurations.
Load testing and supporting technical documentation can be discussed according to project requirements.
For D400 road applications, send us the required size and drawing for technical review and quotation.
